Windows 8.1 works fine, and Windows 7 does too. You must install teamviewer and then make a account that you can connect to, the black screen only appears on the laptop until you change your resoultion to 1366x768 or somthing like that, then the screen works after changing the settings. You must connect via teamviewer to change the res to make the screen work. Performance is really good

I have tried the program you were recommending before, and it didn't fix any issue with the drivers in the laptop. Even if you can boot Windows on the Acer 720, it mostly is unusable as a "laptop", without appropriate drivers. You have no idea at all what your talking about.

My external mouse for the laptop broke down, so I cant test Windows 8.1 x64, I tried Windows 8.1 x32 and the setup did not work. You can probobly get it to work on x64. If your gonna buy the Acer C720 for Windows use, dont buy it yet because we dont have Google I2C drivers and mouse and keyboard drivers. Use Ubuntu on it instead if your buying it

We need drivers, for the latest and greatest Windows 8.1. If you try to install Windows 8.1, It works but the mouse, sound, keyboard, graphics drivers dont work. If you try getting the Intel HD grahpics driver and try to install the driver, it will make the screen go black after the installion and restarting it will just leave it black after it boots up to the login screen. Without the Intel HD Graphics, the system feels laggy due to no graphics accelration. The Keyboard and Mouse dont even function at all. I heard that theres no I2C bus drivers to make the keyboard or mouse work. The system also does not indicate if the laptop is plugged in and or not, and does not give a indication of battery precentage, It even says there's not a battery plugged into the system, but works fine without the charger. I believe this is due to no ACPI drivers, which is causing the system to not to see anything related to power management.

What I want to see is driver support, and making the drivers compatible with Windows 8.1 32/64 bit. I tried Windows 8 but it wont let me thru the installer, as it requests that it needs addionation drivers before I can install, making me unable to install Windows 8 unless I select the "correct" drivers, but in Windows 8.1 the installion runs fine without any problems. Acer should make the drivers for Windows 8.1 32 bit and 64 bit. I use 32 bit as the system only has 2 GB of ram and a limted storage of 16 GB's leaveing only 6 gb's left of storage after installion on the 32 bit version
