Thats why I've returned mine and gone for a different machine. Its a shame, but if something is faulty from the start then I'm not prepared to keep it.

I'd noticed the other thread, but as the title was wifi connection drops and that isn't actually whats happening here I started another.

As its obviously a fault with the machines I guess I'll send this one back to Amazon and go for a machine thats not made by Acer...

C720P Chromebook WiFi Problem

I'm wondering if anyone else with the C720p is suffering from the same problem as me:

When I switch on the machine connected to the mains it connects to wifi fine.
When I switch on the machine running on battery power it doesn't connect to wifi. If I then close and open the screen it connects straight away.

I'm now on the second machine from Amazon and both have the same problem. I've contacted Acer support and they don't appear to have a fix for it.

Before I send the machine back and get a Windows 8 machine instead, can anyone help me?!?
