Problem with this suggestion is that the headphone jack does not work in hdmi input monitor mode!

A very poor purchase and extremly dissapointed in the ACER support. Just washed their hands of it!

How can you say this? Its your system that is sold with an HDMI in, so you must support it. Surely there is somewhere where you can set the volume. There must be a default setting somewhere!

Please can you help.. This purchase is turning out to be an expensive mistake. I need your help to address this.

Hi,

I had the same issue with the HDMI not switching to the PS3. Buttons on the side to switch input are useless. This is how I do it. PC on, HDMI input PS3 connected. Simply switch on ps3.. Then on your remote controller simply hit the power off/on button (which puts your PC to sleep), the screen will then switch to the HDMI input (PS3). When you want to switch back, hit the power on button, PC wakes up and screen moves back to PC.

Does anyone know how to reduce the sound when playing thru HDMI?

Hi,

I bought this PC for my son (aged 11).. The HDMI INPUT was a big factor in buying this for his PS3 console. Is there absolutely no way to change the volume settings? Its too high! Even the headphone socket does not work. It mutes, but no sound in headphones. Would external speakers enable you to reduce the sound. Surely there must be some way to reduce the volume.
