ACER C710-2833 - Lights flashing while plugged into outlet

For the past two weeks I've observed the following behavior with my ACER chromebook when it is plugged into an outlet. When the chromebook remains idle and plugged into the wall, all lights on the chromebook are nominal; however, the moment I begin to use the chromebook while it is plugged into the wall the following begins to happen:

Power button begins to flash

Battery charging light begins to flash

Power on indicator light begins to flash

I called into customer support and they have no idea what this means; nor did they offer a solution. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
