I keep my eye on this thread just to see what people are saying... I actually really really like mine. Sure there are pages upon pages of people with issues but if you notice, its alot of the same person over and over... maybe end user issues, who knows. There are good ones out there, people are just more prone to complain when they get a bad one...

Can you give any advice on the product? I am interested in picking one up but am not sure if its worth the buy. I already have a usb to eathernet cord so if you can maybe do a speed test on the eathernet connection too, that would be great!

If you are having problems with the bluetooth headphones and not the bluetooth mouse... Maybe the headphones are at fault? Not trying to say the R7 is perfect, but just a thought. Maybe try to pair them with your phone or mp3 player to test them. About the screen, I don't know how to fix that.

Also is english your native language? If not, your english is very good although you can pick up a hint of an accent, so if you dont mind me asking, where are you from?

My snid is 319xxxxxx and I don't have any serious wifi issues. Sometimes when watching youtube videos or the like, I get some lag where my more basic tablets never have an issue. Without sending it in, I was wondering if there was a way to check the wifi card easily? Also this is unrelated but how is your paint holding up? The "metal" finishing on the plastic is rubbing off pretty bad for a machine that is only a few months old. Not sure if that is a warranty thing, but never hurts to ask you guys.

So basically you made up your mind and you are deciding to get a different computer and you want to trick acer into taking your computer back by asking the people on the acer forums if you can do so... If you are within the first 15-30 days, maybe you can seek out the retailer but if not... then odds are you bought it and used it for over a month and its yours... If you are having wifi usses, they will fix it... This is why you need to reaserch your purchases before you make them.

Unfortunatly the original R7 does not have a digitizer layer and the stylus is of the capacitive type. There is no way to get palm rejection like you get on a wiacom or n-trig pen. The next version has this option though.

Re: Active Pen for legacy aspire r7 owners?

In order for this type of pen to work (with palm rejection) there needs to be a digitizer layer that the original did not have. Original R7 owners are stuck with using capacitive pens. Acer does offer a nice one with a very precise point and disk style tip... I have seen it in a few reviews. Hope this helps, sorry its not the answer you were looking for.
