I would suggest for optimal quality, speak into the microphone or have it pointed towards the source of the sound you want picked up. The microphone is located by the Volume bar.

Iconia W4-820 or Iconia W4-821 - low sound level when I perform sound recordings or video recordings with sound.

Unit: Iconia W4-82x, Windows 8.1 and 32-bit OS. Latest driver package for Iconia W4 too.

1. My question is - do you all have bad sound level when recording with built-in microphone in Iconia W4 (almost inaudible)?

Of course I have justifying the output speaker level to 100%. I tried to justify the settings for mic input level in control

panel to 100% - Still very low sound from voice recording or video recording in camera APP in Windows 8.1 Start Panel.

I justify the amp settings for mic to +24dB (in control panel for mic level) and of course I get higher output level but

VERY bad quality. Much noise and whistle - not usable even though the sound is at a higher output level in the built-in

speakers.

2. My second question is if I have a faulty Iconia W4-82x or if it is common to Acer Iconia W4 with this bad sound recording quality or level?

Anyone?
