&lt;P&gt;It sounds like you are on the right track. It could be the mainboard, but if you have access to another ac&amp;nbsp;adapter that you know is good, I would recommend trying that charger. If the problem persists, then yes you could replace the mainboard. I recommend using an Acer&amp;nbsp;authorized repair facility or take it to a local technician for assistance.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
