acer aspire v5-571p keeps restarting

screen froze - could not find mouse pointer. turned latop off and when restarted it said need to repair okayed but said it could not repair. Did refresh, it said to uptdate, 95 updates! said configuring then failed to configure, says confiruring and again failed - keeps repeating itself. took battery our pressed power 20 seconds - restarted. keeps happening. managed to get to repair again but would not - refresh in in progress AGAIN! Please help. laptop only bought in april but dont want to send away if possible as i have assignment to do for uni so need it.
