Aspire One, D255E, Windows 7 Starter.

Insert SD card, HD light stays on and performance tanks. Found this problem to be described by others with a Google search, but no solutions.

Any help is appreciated in advance.

When you insert the SD card does the computer ever identify the SD card and are you able to navigate the SD card?

Did this problem occur from the beginning of owning this product? You may want to try reformatting your product to factory defaults using the Acer recovery management software.

Yes ... the card appears in Explorer and is accessible....

Yes ... the card appears in Explorer and is accessible. I could do a factory restore etc, .. but others have had the same problem I have ... per GOOGLE search ... which brings me pause to do the restore. Would prefer a bit more of a comprehensive approach. Thank you for the reply.
