Hi,

Sometimes my laptop stops charging for example in 50%, and I can use it 24 hours when I realise that it's still in 50%, and then if I unplug and plug again AC adapter it start recharging again in 50%. This situation may happen several times before 100%. What can I do?
I'm using this laptop with windows 7 64-bit.

Thanks a lot

You can try recalibrating the battery by following these steps. Remove the AC charger plug. Run the battery down till the 10% charge level warning appears. Shut down Windows normally. Remove the battery. Press and hold the power button down for a minute or so. Re-insert the battery. Re-insert the AC charger plug. Power up again as usual. Report back with results.

Thanks

Jack E/NJ

OK. Next step. After charging the battery to the indicated 50% level and removing the charger, approximately how much time does it take for the battery to reach the 10% warning level while you're using the machine?

Jack E/NJ

Hi Jack,

I removed the charger in 50% of battery and it take 1:50 hour to reach 10%.

Assuming a 6-cell, battery seems questionable. Also charger is suspect. New replacements from Amazon are fairly cheap so you might want to give them a try.

http://www.amazon.com/E1-531-2697-E1-531-4444-E1-571-6492-E1-571-6650-V3-551-8664/dp/B00KSTX1HC/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1408548676&sr=1-1&keywords=v3-471+battery

http://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Timelinex-M5-481PT-Ultrabook-Notebook/dp/B0013FLA4Q/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1408548390&sr=1-3&keywords=v3-471+battery

Jack E/NJ
