Aspire 3000 cpu upgrade

Model 3004wlmi. I am looking to upgrade my current processor. I have an AMD Mobile Sempron 3100+ running at 1.80ghz. I cannot find any documentation on this model as to its technical specifications. I can upgrade its current memory from 513mb to 2gb, but that is all I can find. Looking to upgrade from windows xp to windows 7. Any other details I need to be aware of?

Hello jomomma,

1- I advise you to check all drivers and to read the file readme.txt.

2- Migrate to Windows Vista 32 bits (used) if the drivers are compatible.

3- Your configuration is too low for Windows 7.

Personnaly, I'll stay in Windows XP and I'll migrate to Linux.
