tópico Aspire 5536 Windows 7 webcam problems em Notebooks & Netbooks

Hello everyone,

I had been trying for several days to find out how to fix my webcam that stopped working, possibly due to a recent Windows 7 upgrade. I downloaded a number of software packages with no success but then saw a comment that suggested disabling and re-enabling the USB connections under Device Manager. This did at least get the webcam image to re-appear but then a "preview" message came up on the screen and the image disappeared!

At least I now know that the camera is working (i.e. does not have a loose internal connection that had been suggested as the possible cause of my problem) but I cannot get the Acer webcam image to stay up on my screen. Neither can I get it to re-appear without disabling the relevant internal USB connection and re-enabling it.

Can anyone explain to me how I can come out of "preview" mode and have the webcam permanently available?

Many thanks in anticipation,

RichardW

Try uninstalling the drivers and any associated software. Then reinstall using the latest drivers from the Acer site. There are drivers available for windows 7 in 32 and 64 bit.

http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/drivers
