ASPIRE S5-391 what happens if USB port closes with a pen drive connected??

I have a S5-391. noticed that the magic flip port shuts down when I close the screen.

To be safe I want to know what happens if I shut down the screen accidentally while

either one or more ports are connected. will the ports get jammed ? or the frame crack ?

I checked all reviews, the discussion is always about the motor failing.

The expandable port bay is designed to re-open if it encounters resistance. This keeps it from pinching your fingers or damaging USB devices when it closes.

that puts me out of doubt. its a great machine. I personally think the flip port is a very unique feature.
