Use an eRecovery disc to restore Vista?

I have a Acer Aspire 6930 laptop. I had to replace the hard drive. Would like to know if I use a eRecovery disc

to restore Vista on the laptop, it will work? Thanks

Hello06161,

Yes, it will work. You need to format the HDD only if you use the user backup (Format.iso).

I've found this post on the Acer website (Canada).

Only to Windows XP and Windows Vista

Note:

Only the User Backup media made via eRecovery is affected.
The factory recovery media made via eRecovery is not affected.
