      <description>&lt;P&gt;Aspire 5750-6414&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;snid 20503502834&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Windows 7 Home Premium&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2 year old Aspire been working fine, but yesterday...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Turn on and the “ACER” screen appears; then&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The “Starting Windows” screen appears; then&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The “Acer, Windows Home Premium” logon (password) screen appears;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Upon entering password (either for Admn or Daily user accounts), the “Welcome” screen blinks once and then re-appears for approximately 25 seconds but the &lt;STRONG&gt;“Start Screen” never appears&lt;/STRONG&gt;: &amp;nbsp;the screen goes blank (black or very dark blue) and the mouse or keyboard has no effect.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I use Control/Alt/Delete to access Task Mgr to shut down.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What do I do:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Run Windows 7 System Recovery mode?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Run Acer eRecovery Management &amp;nbsp;program outside of Windows?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Run Acer eRecovery Management program?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Ship to Acer for repair?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am not highly proficient in computer skills.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Before I received your suggestion, I did a Windows Startup Repair which indicated no errors; so I then did a System Restore and think I have the system back up. But thanks anyway.... afterwards I did a full battery recharge and then decided to remove the batter since I normally use the AC power when running. William</description>
