    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi all, my Aspire is about 2 years old and has started to have a black screen on boot up. It will light up after a period of time and is getting more frequent, I have seen that replacing the back light inverter is a fix but it seems that this screen may not have one to replace! any help/suggestions appreciated many thanks in advance - Ken&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You may want to try to re-seat the video ribbon cable connectors to the motherboard, LCD screen and cam. Unfortunately, the keyboard and screen bezel need to be removed in order to reach these connectors.&amp;nbsp;If that doesn't work, the&amp;nbsp;cable itself may have an&amp;nbsp;intermittent break or crack&amp;nbsp;in one of it's conductor traces usually&amp;nbsp;near the congested&amp;nbsp;hinge area due to&amp;nbsp;operning &amp;amp; closing the lid too often.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;In that case, a new ribbon cable is recommended, usually going for under $20 from Amazon for the V3 series.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Jack E/NJ&lt;/P&gt;</description>
