If you go into Mouse properties and click the settings tab, do you have any options to enable or disable the click functions?

Are you sure your touchpad is an ELAN touchpad? Maybe you can try loading a different driver or use the tool acer has on their driver download site to detect what hardware you actually have.

It could just be possible that the buttons are broken.

Thanks for the advice. The clicks are enabled. I also checked the driver through the acer site and it is definitely the ELAN touchpad.

My guess is the buttons... now I have to figure out how to replace them.

Appreciate the help!

Hi..

If there is physical click buttons (left and right) on the touchpad, the issue could be with the buttons. You may contact Acer support team for further options.
