Hi guys ,well on my trip to Guatemala my A1 D257 netbook died (thanks TSA) now I'm back and fixing it ,WD 250 HD has failed- removed an tested -it's done -lucky I backed up the files about to buy a new HD for my little baby (about $40) so the Q i have is after I bootup and push F2 ,set for USB to boot 1st - ? do i reboot with usb CD dive pluged in ,with my W7 starter repair disc (I made this way back when i 1st go the A1- not a full mirror of the OS)or do I do something else in DOS? .....also using the product key for W7 to get the full OS load ,do I go to MS or does Acer have a link to the download. Also could someone link me to the Acer page for the drivers A1 D257. I don't think i'll need to flash the Bios because thats on the MB . Lets see if we can get my little baby running again.

Just wondering too, W7 is not speedy on the D257 (maybe that was the HD slowly failing?) Could i load linus linpus ,does Acer still have the drivers for this OS ,so the wireless will work etc etc ?
