Hi

I am selling my Acer V5-571P laptop to a friend and want to restore to factory settings (I guess that's what I want to do?) to wipe all sensitive work information / logins (including to Microsoft) etc and so that when he signs in for the first time, it will be like it is brand new

Any ideas if this is the best thing to do and how best to do it?

Thanks for any advice!

Sam

Go to the start menu or start page, type in acer, open acer recovery manager, click restore to factory settings. This will wipe all your data and programs, so backup whatever you need.

Note: When you go to the start page you do not have to type into any textbox, just type and the computer will do a search.

Cheers
