Set up ELAN touchpad in acer V5-571

Hi all,

I have an Acer V5-571-6869 with Windows 7 based on. My ELAN touchpad working normally.

But after I've installed windows 8 (not update from win 7), touchpad is not working as multi-gesture.

I did uninstall Mouse driver in control panel and reinstall with the exactly driver from acer website for my OS. Although the ELAN icon appeared, the configuration about ELAN divice was hidden.

Do you get as my snip when you right click the icon in Taskbar and select Propert of touchpad?

EDIT: Try using the Windows 8 Touchpad driver.

I did install ELAN mouse pad driver for Windows 8 and could not configure any thing in Devices Properties because it was hidden (grey).

I think it will work normally if I roll back Windows 7.

Searching on google shows that ELAN mousepad is usually broken on Windows 8, especially in model V5-571.

Yes, you could try the Windows 7 driver version 11.6.2.1, might work.
