Brought over to acer singapore service centre and the kind tech did a screen calibration and the rotation works fine now. I brought my S7 to the svc ctr because of touch screen prob (bios updated...see post on ultrathin) and because the tech was warm and forthcoming, I asked him about the rotation prob (I was carrying the R7...my working pc) and he took a look at it...did the calibration plus updated the bios. Kudos to the tech.

Thanks for your input.

I noticed that lately my screen auto rotate does not work when I flip the screen upside down. The auto rotate switch is on (Start+O). Using windows 8.

Any suggestions....it is embrassing when you flip the screen to discuss something to friends sitting opposite of you and it still looks upside down to them.
