    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have upgraded to wind 8.1 from wind 8(OEM), I tried to install the new driver for Elan Touchpad&amp;nbsp;from Acer Support but it failed but the installer said the driver installed correctly, when I checked in Device Manager, there's no Elan drver but found PS2 compatible driver from Windows.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any suggetion or help appreciated, Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I see 3 touchpad drivers listed on the Acer site. Are you sure you have an Elan touchpad? You can check using the hardware detection utility that Acer provides.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A target="_blank" href="http://global-download.acer.com/SupportFiles/Files/HWID/APP/HWVendorDetection.exe"&gt;http://global-download.acer.com/SupportFiles/Files/HWID/APP/HWVendorDetection.exe&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks clyde,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yes, I have tried different drivers and none of the newer drivers work, finally, I have settled for the original driver ver. 11.6.8.1 and&amp;nbsp;organised&amp;nbsp;the settings to my liking.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The drivers 11.6.24.203 installed but didn't show up in Device manager&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;11.6.27.201 froze my OS with BSOD&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks again for your suggestion, much appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
