Hi, I have a Travelmate 253. A few days ago I noticed that when scrolling up or down a page a "ripple" is present across the screen that moves down as I scroll. I have disabled my vpn and adblocker. It occurs whether on wifi or hard wired. I am concerned that it may be fault with the laptop which I purchased only 4 months ago. I hope my explanation is sufficient for someone to recognise the problem. thanks

In most cases this can be a driver related issue or a setting within the browser you are using. Most browsers have a setting Use smooth scrolling that will help with this "ripple" effect you are experiencing. Here are a few steps for IE and Firefox to enable smooth scrolling:

Internet Explorer:
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing: "Use smooth scrolling"

FireFox:

Tools > Options > Advanced > General: Browsing: "Use smooth scrolling"

If this does not fix the scrolling problem, another suggestion would be to visit the support site and download the lastest VGA drivers for your notebook and version of Windows. The last resort if this problem persists would be to Reload your Acer computer to factory defaults.
