Exactly right. I ended up using this link here

http://community.acer.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/Reloading-your-Acer-computer/ta-p/45793

And did a full System Recovery.

When I had gone into my rollback options, I noticed that some things had gotten uninstalled, like my wireless adapter.

Fun...

Anyhow, did the Full System Recovery overnight exactly two weeks ago and so far so good.

Looking to update to Windows 8.1 tonight, so we'll see if that works! :-)

I bought a new Acer M5 a couple weeks ago. Weird things are happening tonight. All of a sudden I can't get browsers (any of them; I have tried multiple) to connect to most sites.

Twitter - works

Facebook - works

Google - does not work

Yahoo - does not work

CNN - does not work

I can randomly try others, but it looks like... for some reason, some sites are working and others are not. No rhyme or reason. My wife's PC works fine. My desktop PC works fine. My phone works fine. The only problem is this Acer M5.

Help!

It initially sounds like some malware has gotten on the system.

Have you attempted to recover the system?
