New owner here. Just picked up my R7 Friday.

I'm seeing an intermittent issue where the display shuts itself off in tablet mode. It will flash on an off as I transition from tablet to easel mode.

The issue doesn't occur 100% of the time. Sometimes it's working fine but if I push down on the upper side of the screen, it will blank out as the screen comes in contact with the hinge.

Anyone else seeing this behavior? Is this a loose connector or short?

I adjusted all the power settings to disable powering off the monitor when the laptop lid is closed. I also locked the screen orientation.

It shut itself off a couple of times since I typed that message. This time, I was using it in tablet mode and it just cuts out without any movement of the screen itself. Lifting the screen up and changing to another orientation eventually wakes the display.

I've had my R7 for two weeks and noticed this today. I'm sure it wasn't happening when I got it. Lower screen all the way like a tablet and screen goes blank. Does not come back on. I have to lift the screen up slightly for it to light up.

I think I might need to return to BestBuy if this is a known issue.

Did you ever find a resolution?
