If your system is on a v1.x BIOS, it will not be able to upgrade to a v2.x.

BIOS versions are not cross-flashable from v1.x to v2.x

I will check with our engineers and make sure that the text is revised for that particular BIOS.

@AcerTommy

Any further explanation why 1.XX BIOS cannot take advantage of the 2.XX? Like hardware limitations or its just not compatible and will NEVER be upgradable? I have just read that 2.XX has great support for Windows 8.1 where fast boot up and other optimizations is applied.

You can upgrade to 2.XX version if you change some flags in the upgrade file. ( you can find it with google search )

But I don't recommend it because you can't use Windows7 with this BIOS version.

If you install it, your windows xp or windows 7 are totally disabled.

Because UEFI doesn't support windows7(I'm not sure) and Linux. ( You can use MAC )

It is so weird and crazy. You can only use Windows8 OS with it.
