Need to find correct part number for Aspire 5742 screen replacement

Hello,

I need to find the correct part number for Aspire 5742 screen replacement. The backlight is no longer working, and I have already bought an inverter only to find that this model/version does not use an inverter (since the backlight is LED and built into the screen component). I find the array of model numbers somewhat confusing. The full model version seems to be:

5742-464G50Mnnk

This seems to be a very good laptop that belongs to an aquaintance of mine, but is not worth repairing at the local service dealer, and I am sure that I can replace the screen myself if I can get the right part, having already dismantled the screen assembly and being an electronic engineer.

Incidentally, I assume that this model version is the 5742, not the 5742G (even thought the model number has a "G" in it: part of the confusion). Any help would be much appreciated.

That is correct. All of the listings I see for the LCD on that model show LED.
