Hello there, I have heard of people adding 4GB SODIMM

Will this work? will there be any problems? or are you saying you can only install a 2GB memory module?

It is possible to add memory up to 64GB, however beyond 2GB you need to adapt windows 7 starter as this has a lock on it to prevent you creating a decent netbook. Check google for 'remove windows 7 memory lock'.

I now have 4GB in my Acer, working just fine performance is significantly better, you should expect about 3GB of that to be usable. You will need a better version of Windows 7 or to make some modifications to Windows 7 Starter.

I have a spare 4GB but have already installed WIN 8 with "Classic Shell" to make it usable and a SSD. Will Win 8 work with the 4GB? (Win 8 is faster and the SSD, magic)

You get Windows 8 to work? How is Metro working? I hear the graphics is a nightmare on Windows 8. 4GB should be no issue though.
