The following have gone missing: Frameutility.dll is missing: Egisupdate.exe, Searchprotection.exe,

Hi,

I have been experiencing problems of late with my Aspire.

I have had 2 blue screens of death in the last 24 hours.

However, prior to that I have been receiving notices such as:

- Frameutility.dll is missing

- Egisupdate.exe is missing

- Searchprotection.exe is missing

- MyWinLocker is missing.

Does anyone here know a link that would allow me to reinstall those missing items?

Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad CPU

Mikey53,

The errors you are recieving about missing files as you listed below cannot simply be replaced by reinstalling a program or file. These are part of the windows operating system and would require repair or complete reinstallation. This would also explain the blue screens of death you have been receiving.

If you search for Frameutility.dll in google you can find some steps/suggestions on how to reinstall that particular file. However, I suggest trying to reinstall the operating system using the Acer recovery software as I cannot support the methods online or guarantee that they will work.
