What model computer do you have?

Acer desktops generally use the Del key to access the BIOS. If you are running Windows 8, make sure you are shutting the system down completely. To make sure you completely shut down the system you can press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds. When you power the system back on, press the Del key as soon as you see the Acer logo appears.

Hi All,

For some reason I'm having issues accessing my BIOS. It says F12 for Boot or Del for setup. I press Delete a hundred times but the startup (before Windows even starts loading) for a long time. However Vista does load up just fine. I don't quite understand why. I've unplugged RAM (just a long beep), I've unplugged the HD and DVDRW all to no avail.

 Anyone else had this issue?

Thanks!
Zack

For Acer systems, the key to access BIOS is usually 'Del' or 'F2'. Try using the F2 key and see if that works.

GuruAid.com
