tópico cursed computer em Desktops & All-In-Ones

I bought an Acer AXC 603 UR10 last Friday. They didn't have any in stock, so after some negotiation, I took the demo model. I hooked it up Saturday morning, the VGA connection gave no image but the HDMI connection did. Instead of the Acer logo coming up, a green screen with "frys" (the retailer where I bought it) came up and then went to Windows.

The problems started when I tried to get the desktop to fit on my screen. The logos on the desktop were either completely or partially off the edge of the screen.

After an hour with Acer support and being told to take it back to the retailer, I did some searching on my other computer and found something about eRecovery and tried that... 3 hours later and nothing happened, so I unplugged it and the next day I took it back to Frys.

Frys got it up and running right away, even booting it from my USB drive.

By the time I got back home and hooked it up, turned it on... nothing. The VGA connection has "no signal" and the HDMI is getting a signal but no picture. Both cables work on my Mac computers.

Also, there is a light that keeps blinking (HDD indicator?) and it chirps every few seconds??????

Ideas? Suggestions? Advice?

Hi Monty_Floyd

So the PC is working fine at Fry's, but the problems only arise at home? I presume you've tried different screen resolution settings, and the graphics card control panel, so there may well be an issue with your monitor.

I agree with Acer support - return it back to the store and wait until a new replacement is available.
