Thanks.
I have the problem that the VGA output on my XC 105 gives me a black screen, when using the HDMI output everithing works fine. I bought this xc 105, the model with the hd 8470 video card because in the spec sheet on the Acer website is is stated to have a VGA output. Is the VGA output non functional because of the video card?
I've bought this PC for my dad because he has a VGA only monitor.

Hi ratscoot

If the XC-105 has a dedicated graphics card, then the onboard VGA will be disabled by default. Does the graphics card not have a VGA port you can use?

Alternately, if it has a DVI port, you can buy a DVI to VGA adaptor to use with monitors with VGA only.
