Acer X680 Parralel printing issues

I am having issues with parralel printing from program called datapro 6, the program is dos based and very old

I can print to everything else no problem

I have tried USB to Parralel, Parralel to Parralel, Parralel to USB and Usb to Usb

but just will not print from this program at all

before upgrading to the X680 we use to be able to print from the S661 no problems

Obviously the new pc hardware is different and would say need a parralel port for the X680 model

or some helpful advice what to get

I have also installed software "serial port to adaptor usb" which works fine on the S661 but not the X680
