    <description>&lt;P&gt;If your desktop is 5 years old or older, it might be the CMOS (system) battery.&amp;nbsp; We had a similar stuation and changing the battery (approximately $5) resolved the issue.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Dears,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have Acer Veriton M265 desktop pc. Till yesterday, PC was working fine and i shut it down properly. Today i came and i turn-on the PC but CPU fan start running on very high speed as well as PC is not booting. I can see only the BIOS screen then nothing (only blank screen).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Kindly help me.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;not at all. it was working perfectly. Late eveining, i shut down the system properly but next morning, it wont come up. :-(&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have the same exact problem. I also changed the CMOS battery but still no luck. It would randomly show BIOS but now it's just not recognizing monitor input. Any suggestions would be great. Memory is fine because I tested it in same exact machine. I also, I had changed the PSU unit with a 350W one.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello &lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;RBent,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You can do another test if you have a graphic card:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT color="#ff0000"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;OFF VOLTAGE&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;- Remove the graphic card&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;- Connect directly the monitor on the vga port of the motherboard&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp; (Don't install any driver - It's just a test)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If you have no video signal&amp;nbsp;+ the others problems,&amp;nbsp;your motherboard is dead.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Note: Why&amp;nbsp;had you changed the PSU?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>I had the same problem, cleaned all the dust that was clogging up the fan, took the ram out and put it back in. Solved the problem. I think if the date and time are ok then the CMOS battery is ok. I also took that out then put it back in. Give it a try, worked on mine.</description>
