Hi! I have Acer desktop Veriton M290 with a bios version P01.B0L. I saw that there is a new version P02.A1L but it is impossible for me to upgrade the bios firmware. Could you please confirm that it is the right new bios version for my desktop and how to proceed with the upgrade? Thanks.

Why are you attempting to update the BIOS?

What issue are you having?

There is no issue. I want to have the most up to date Bios & Drivers. I have a Laptop (not Acer) and I made the bios upgrade easily by running the utility under windows. Thanks.

A BIOS will generally only be released for specific reasons.

If the system is working properly, there is no reason to update the BIOS.

Can you please let me know why, "but it is impossible for me to upgrade the bios firmware" ?

Are you having any error messages? When?

What is occuring?

Reading file......... done

FFS checksums..... ok

–ROM file size does not match existing BIOS size

I have re-downloaded the BIOS file but the same thing. I think that I should use the same BIOS version that I already have and check if the build date is new.
