Erik,

Intel do not claim that Broadcom adapters are compatible per se. They are saying that two(?) Broadcom chips are compatible. If your R7 is using a Broadcom card, you would need to confim it is using one of the specified chips.

To check your laptop for chipset suitability, you can run 'Intel System Identification Utility':

http://www.intel.com/support/siu_la.htm

Hello.
I've got the acer R7 i5 with intel Hd4000 and gt750m graphics. I think the wireless adapter is from broadcom.
Is it possible to replace the wireless adapter to one of intels own (for example intel centrino) and then be able to install widi software on My computer?
As far as I know will the broadcom adapter not work with Widi? (Dispite the fact that broadcom is listed on intels website as supported wireless adapter??)
/Erik

If you read the long thread on poor WIFI, you will definitely want to replace the Broadcomm Adapter and also the antenna and memory.
