tópico OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND - Aspire V5-571 em 2013 Archives

I tried installing another OS and switched the bios to legacy. I know, I'm an idiot for doing it. In addition to that I moved the Windows Boot Manager to the bottom of my boot list priority. Idiotic move as well. Now I can't boot into Windows 8.1, I'm stuck in this infinite cycle of 'media disk failure' (or something similar) and the 'Operating System not Found' error, and can't refresh or do anything to recover it because my hard drive is locked. I've read a lot of stuff that I had googled and they seem to do one of three things:

- Can't enter BIOS - I've tried hitting F2 as fast as I can and it's not working. Does anybody know another way of getting into BIOS? I've also tried using a USB Keyboard.

- Unlock HDD - How do I do this? I know that is a possible solution.

- Flash BIOS - Don't know how to do this at all. Don't even know if I really need to do this

PLUS, how do I tell if my BIOS is corrupted and needs to be re-flashed?

ALSO, should I just contact support and send my laptop in for repair?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Vince.

TECH STUFF

Windows 8.1
4GB of RAM
Intel Core i7
No touch screen
