ACER 5515-Updated to Win7-64, but NO SOUND. No Sound Drivers made? Help???

Dying and crashing with the Vista-64 zombie, I wiped and added win7 -- so much better!! but I cannot find sound drivers to accomodate win7, only Vista or xp-32. What can I used to substitute? Or should I just fling this *** laptop out the window? Help, please

Hi Bronxgodzilla!

As far as I'm aware the Aspire 5515 has only XP/Vista drivers available. Have you tried Windows Update?

The soundcard in your laptop is a realtek one. Try here to see if these are compatible. Other than that, it's back to XP or Vista, I'm afraid!
