Acer 431p webcam not working, help!!!!

Hi i updated my windows 8 camera codec pack and ever since then my webcam hasnt been working on my aspire v5-431p and ive tried ununstalling it and reinstalling but hasnt fixed the issue, i would love it if someone knows how to fix this bug

Have you tried System Restore? Try to restore the system before you installed the new codec.

well this has happened before but i did a system restore and refresh but it still didnt fi the problem so i took it in to the shop and they fixed it and said that the restore and refresh screwed up the codec camera pack even more but i dont know how it would change anything and i cant really go back to the shop because its a few hours away, i dont know if i should or not. thanks

i did system restore anyway but there was not restore point before the codec pack was installed so nothings changed is there anything else i can do?

Reinstalling your system or do a system refresh, it'll not affect your files.

Well, it's weird, if reinstalling your system didn't help at all, then it should be a hardware problem.
