Hi,

tnx for reply.

Tried two other SD cards and they worked just fine.

Recreating filesystem on the "faulty" sd card from another OS did solved the problem.

Maybe is lilte strange that the "faulty" fs was readable/writeble on win7 and linux, not on win8 before re-format.

Anyways,problem solved.

Aspire 5750Z card reader driver is not working on Windows 8 x64,both clean install and upgrade.
Drivers do install with no errors and SD Host device is registered properly in device manager, but when I insert SD card in reader, cannot access it from windows explorer.

Trying to format it from computer management, disk management shows error something about path cannot be found.

However,everything works fine in Windows 7 x64.

Have you tried using a different SD card, or a different type of card?

If you have tried other cards and they are giving errors as well?

Please provide the exact error message you are receiving, if you are still having problems.
