      <title>Some USB Ports not working on 5553 under Linux</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have an Aspire 5553 works fine under Windows 7 x64 (as installed). If I try any Linux install (live CD or an empty SATA drive swapped out for the original windows 7 one) the right hand side usb ports do not work. Bit annoying.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can use a mini USB hub and daisy chain USB devices off it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The SD card reader is also not operational.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;lspci shows the different controllers but no amount of messing about seems to allow them to be used...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any ideas? Uses same crontroller driver I think.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dom&lt;/P&gt;</description>
