I am sorry to hear you are experiencing some problems updating Windows. What updates are you trying to install?

Based on the error message you provided I found a Microsoft knowledgebase article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958044. This article provides a resolution to this Microsoft error.

When I shut it down its start configuring new updates, later it shows configuration fail, then it reverting changes which takes too much time. So I fix problem in control panel, database error detected OX80070490. It fixed. But still can't update . when I fix problem, its still there.
