To boot this laptop from any external device like USB drive, disc etc, you need to change securre boot and boot settings in the BIOS.

Here is the information to change the settings in the BIOS.

Connect the USB recovery media into this laptop.

Restart the laptop and keep tapping the F2 key which will guide you to the BIOS page.

Select "Security" tab, and then choose [Set] to create a Supervisor password.

Select the 'BooCot' tab.
Select "Secure boot" and select it as 'Disable'.

Under Boot Priority,

Select 1 as "USB HDD" (or the USB drive that you have connected).

Press the F10 key and select "Yes" to save the changes in BIOS.

Reinstalling Windows using the USB media will erase all data from the hard drive, Make sure you backup your data from the hard drive.

So basically, you've used your USB stick to recover your laptop, but after the process finished, you still can't boot into Windows?

Do you get any other error message?

It could be a problem with your hard drive.

If you can, boot into BIOS to see if the computer is "seeing" the hard drive. If the hard drive isn't displayed, then it will be at fault.

Because laptop can work right in another Win8 system. I just don't like the system.

I want to restore the factory settings.

OK.

Was the other S7-391 system, the EXACT same specification as your one? If not 100% exactly the same, it may not work.

If they are 100% identical, it still may be an issue with the hard drive, or possibly a motherboard issue. Have you tried the other S7-391 hard drive in your laptop?

I know this has been 3 month since last post, have you tried legacy boot in stead of the default EUFI?

What did it for me was switching to "legacy Bios" after changing the boot sequence before saving and exiting.
