Aspire V5 cannot hold a charge

Not sure if this is in the right place, but my laptop just cannot hold a charge anymore. I've timed it, and from a full battery it dies in 15 minutes. I haven't updated it to windows 8.1, if that makes a difference. Is there anything I can do besides replace the battery?

If the battery is not holding its charge, then the only thing you can really do is to replace it!

Considering I've only had this laptop for about 6 or 7 months, is there some sort of warranty on it? My dad bought it for me so he would probably know all that stuff, but I'm just curious if it's something you will have because I've owned it less than a year.

Some other helpful information to help me not have this happen again so soon: I keep the charger plugged into the wall all the time. The charger itself isn't plugged into my laptop all the time, but would that affect it?

If the charger is NOT connected to the laptop all the time, it won't affect the battery, although it might reduce the life of the charger.

The battery does have a warranty, so contact Acer support for your region, who should be able to help!
