      <title>Fail Load BCD error after doing a full recovery</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My Acer S3 suffered a completed HDD failure, so I replaced the HDD with a 250GB SDD.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I obtained the 5 recovery CDs from Acer and booted the Recovery SW from an external CD Drive.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I selected the full system recovery option and fed it each of the 5 CDs as prompted.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;At the very end of the process the system hung with message: "Fail Load BCD" (or similar).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have tried to boot from SDD using both mode: Legacy BIOS and UEFI modes and always get the message: "No Bootable Device"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If I boot to the Recovery Disc using Legacy BIOS, I get the message: Please reboot this CD using UEFI mode&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If I boot to the Recovery Disc using UEFI Mode I get the message: Please reboot this CD using Legacy BIOS&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Therefore I can't even re-run the Recovery process.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The BIOS screens and the F12 boot menu both recognize the SSD hardware as "TOSHIBA THNSNJ256GCST"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;I'd sure be grateful for any ideas&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Jeff&lt;/P&gt;</description>
