When I try to create factory backup disc it dosen't find internal or external drives. don't have erecovery as an option in my acer folder

When I boot my acer 5315 it ask if I want to create recovery disc, when I say yes the process starts but it tells me the disc im using are wrong please insert correct disk. I have the internal drive and I bought a external drive and I get the same message on both, Ive tried every disk I have and I get the same message. Any help ?

It should work with a number of DVD and CD formats. Check you manual to see if it specifies which formats, (eg -R, -RW, +RW etc) are acceptable. Failing that, try a USB port memory stick.
